I want to know what kind of civilization or people would carve their cities into the sunken sections of these miniature islands. I want to know what function that lighthouse fills. I want to know why only a certain "band' of the rocky formation was used. I want to know why there seems to be so little life visible in the seascape around, or if maybe this place was abandoned.

The palette of colors you've chosen is wonderful, giving everything a mildly sinister Cthonic feeling. The clean divide between the vibrant life above the sea and the still darkness underneath provides the viewer with a fun and intriguing contrast for their minds to wrap around.

There's a real sense of depth here, pardoning the pun, that I find fascinating. Overall, a very interesting piece - with my only real complaint being that I want to know more about the world this piece inhabits than the scene here can possibly tell me.
